Ions are exchanged within the glass surface under high temperature, creating a permanent compression layer that dramatically increases resistance to impact, bending and thermal shock — without altering the glass's clarity, weight or feel.

Stem Zero combines the brilliance and thinness of premium lead-free crystal with ion-shielding technology that makes each glass up to 8.5 times more resistant to breakage than standard crystal — and significantly more flexible under impact. Independent tests performed to DIN52295 / EN12980:2000 standards confirm 35% stronger bowl impact resistance and 2× stronger stem impact resistance. The result is a glass that looks and feels luxurious and is far more resilient than standard crystal — though as with all fine glassware, it should still be handled with care.
