The NUDE Contour collection is defined by the meeting of two materials. Each vase and bowl pairs a crystalline upper with a PVD-coated metal base — precious finishes in copper, gold, or platinum that contrast with the clear or tinted crystal above. The shift in glass density at the join creates a visual illusion that is at once solid and ethereal: sculptural objects that feel as valuable as they look. The latest addition to the collection — steel blue crystal with a platinum base — draws its palette from the Nordic Noir aesthetic, a cool, dramatic counterpoint to the warmer tones that came before.

Pentagon Design

Pentagon Design was founded in Helsinki in 1996 by Arni Aromaa and Sauli Suomela, while the two were still completing their Master's degrees in Industrial Design at the University of Art and Design Helsinki. Today the studio numbers fifteen, bringing together industrial, graphic, and interior designers alongside engineers and economists. Their work spans an intentionally wide range, from packaging to library interiors, always shaped by a design education rooted in Bauhaus principles of restraint and rigour. As Finnish designers, glass has always been a natural material, part of a cultural heritage so deeply embedded that, as they put it, every Finnish designer must work with glass at least once. For Pentagon Design, their collaboration with NUDE is the fullest expression of that conviction.
