Classic & Contemporary Martini Glasses
When discussing cocktails, the iconic image of a tall cocktail glass with a long, elegant stem and inverted cone top comes to mind. This classic image is a martini glass. It has come to be the signature image for cocktails, making martini glasses a staple in any commercial bar or home bar setup.
Bartenders have long favored coupe glasses and long-stem martini glasses for their timeless appeal. Their clear, saucer-shaped design is simple and elegant, suggesting a touch of style and sophistication. Vintage martini glasses, despite the ever-changing trends in glassware, have stood the test of time and remained popular. These cool martini glasses, often seen in old-school retro and glamorous movies, have a charm that endures. Think back to movies with Audrey Hepburn sipping a perfect martini or the class and sophistication of James Bond, who was a real fan of Martini's—“shaken, not stirred!”
At NUDE, we take pride in offering a wide range of martini glasses. From classic martini glasses to modern martini ones with a subtle contemporary twist, ideal for dressing and presenting cosmopolitans, margaritas, and even desserts. We have a glass to suit all tastes and occasions.

Choosing the Right Martini Glass
NUDE Martini glasses and margarita glasses come in various sizes and designs, all crafted to enhance the taste and aroma of the beverage you intend to serve.
For a classic martini cocktail, our Vintage Set of 2 Martini Glasses is the ideal choice. These NUDE signature martini glasses have the classic long stem and coned and rounded top. They are formed from sleek, elegant crystalline that epitomizes a vintage Martini. Alternatively, the sophisticated form of our lead-free crystal Savage Set of 2 Coupetini Glasses is created by the popular NUDE mixologist Remy Savage. These clear, stylish glasses are a nod back to the classic martini glasses yet have a distinct definition and simplicity all of their own. So, this makes them memorable glasses for your collection.
The secret to any good martini is the taste. Most bartenders will agree that a classic martini should be based on around four parts of either gin or vodka to one part vermouth. Therefore, the vermouth is for taste, giving a good martini the distinct botanical aroma and flavor it is known for.
If you really want to dress up a classic martini cocktail, a sugared rim is always a winner. You can achieve this with all NUDE long-stemmed martini, margarita, or coupe glasses. By simply moistening the rim of the martini glass with a wedge of lemon or lime and turning it upside down into a sugar bath. You get the aesthetically pleasing crust of sweetness around the rim that tastes incredible. This really adds depth to the presentation, plus it really enhances the flavor of the drink.
Another option, especially if you intend to serve a single olive or other fruit at the base of the glass, is to serve the drink on one of our Vintage Sets of two Marini Glasses Rounded. These expertly designed glasses have an extra-rounded bottom with space for an olive or fruit of choice at the base. This clever lead-free glass design enhances the overall aesthetic appeal of the drink, making it memorable, especially when catering to the needs of discerning guests on a special occasion.
Best Martini Glasses for Home Bar
When considering how to equip your home bar, the right cocktail glasses to purchase are largely down to a matter of taste.
When buying cocktail and martini glasses for sale, the look and feel of the glasses you choose matters. It’s also important to have a versatile range of different types and styles of cocktail and martini glasses so you can present any drink requested. For most, this doesn’t mean you need to own every size and shape of cocktail glass on the market. Most of the best home bar setups simply contain basic sets of a few of the most popular glass designs.
At NUDE, we craft a wide range of cocktail, spirit, and liquor glasses in a variety of classic and contemporary designs. Many with a home bar own a selection of simple high-ball glasses like those from our Mirage range, as these are perfect for serving everyday drinks and spirits with mixers, sodas, and juices. The short, distinct shape of lowball glasses, like our set of six NUDE Big Top Whiskey Glasses, is also a home bar essentially used to serve whiskey, bourbon, and many cocktails. However, the presence of classic V-shaped French or Italian martini glasses is what really adds character to a home bar, with items like our Vintage Set of Martini Glasses, perfect for serving classic cosmopolitans, margaritas, and martinis.
If a modern twist on serving martini cocktails is called for, glasses from the NUDE Big Top collection are ideal. These eye-catching, long-stemmed coupe glasses are refreshingly different and inspired by the circus. NUDE Big Top Coupe glasses have a tall, etched, and tapered stem and a raised linear pattern that feels great to the touch, which lifts the overall drinking experience and makes the glassware and cocktail memorable. Another popular option, especially for those fond of longer, frozen margarita cocktails and drinks that are heaped in the glass or served over crushed ice, is the NUDE Fantasy Set of 2 Cocktail Glasses. The sweeping curves and brilliantly clear crystalline finish of these glasses look stylish and can be used to complement the presentation of many fancy drinks. The NUDE Fantasy range also includes champagne, wine, and cognac glassware, so you can fully equip your home bar with this selection.
Martini Glass Usage
Due to the name, it's easy to assume martini glasses are only used to serve classic martinis. However, many beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, can be served in long-stemmed martini and margarita glasses.
Classic martini cocktails tend to be served one of three ways: wet, dry, or “perfect”. The type of Vermouth used, i.e., sweet or dry, dictates the sweetness of the drink, with a dry martini suggesting the use of a dry version, a wet martini using gin, vodka, and sweet Vermouth, and a “perfect” martini is a mix of the two.
These well-known gin and vodka martini drinks look fabulous when presented in vintage or French martini glasses. Espresso martinis, appletinis, and Gibsons also look stunning served in this way. Contemporary martini cocktail glasses are also used to present pisco sours, cosmopolitans, Negronis, Brandy Alexanders, gimlets, and even brightly colored grasshoppers in many of the best bars and drinking establishments.
If you wish to serve a softer option or mocktail in martini glasses, opt for using a nonalcoholic vodka, gin, and vermouth. The mocktail martini version looks just like the classic version. It can be served with the staple olive on a stick, but it is guaranteed to leave the drinker fit to drive and far less starry-eyed. You could also serve many flavor-packed agua frescas, fresh fruit syrup-based drinks with iced soda, kombuchas, or even an incredible non-alcoholic iced crush in margarita glasses, all of which should impress guests who prefer to keep their beverages booze-free.
Lastly, let’s talk about presentation, as this is what really sets your average martini apart from the norm. There are many ways you can dress up a martini or margarita glass to make it spark the drinker's interest, aside from simply presenting it with a simple green olive on a cocktail stick. Try frosting either the entire rim or half of the rim of the glass by running a wedge of lime along one section and dipping it in a saucer of sugar, salt, or spice. Alternatively, finish the martini cocktail with a dried fruit citrus wheel or a fine sliver of lemon or lime peel. For other cocktails, add interest with fresh fruit such as raspberries or raspberry puree in a Rasmopolitan or whole or segments of strawberries with their attractive green top on a frozen strawberry margarita.
As we have seen, martini and margarita glasses are stable glassware for any home bar. Their sleek and elegant design suggests good times, great company, and sophistication. If you want to add style to your home bar setup, you can always check out the NUDE range of coupe, margarita, and martini glasses and really take your home bar to the next level!
